Diary of a Beauty Therapist

After 8am contemplating my thoughts and dreams, it’s then my morning ritual of hot oat milk and filtered coffee (I’m not a coffee lover, it just helps me sometimes for a kick-start).  The place needs an hour clean before my clients arrive, but surely this has been done several times this week already…!

My first client arrives for eyelash extensions. It’s for her parents’ wedding day – they have been together for 30 years, so why the delay? Well, I found out, that many years ago her mother had been working with someone that had broken her wedding ring finger, and since then she determined her fate by choosing not to get married.

My second client arrives for her Brazilian wax, who kindly encourages me to get started on my blogs 😉 She’s seeing Celine Dion tonight. Wow, how we remembered the lyrics to songs in the ’90s. They were life lessons.

My third client arrives for a brisk Eyebrow Shape.

My fourth client of the day was a smart gentleman with a curly moustache much like my father’s, but thinner.  His treatment consisted of a Swedish massage. It prompted great concern about how he was coping with his bodily pains and sciatica. I really want to heal him. Hmmm, maybe I should learn Reiki.

Eventually, it’s brunch-time; smoothie blitz with porridge oats, cacao nibs, dates and hemp milk. 2pm soon approaches.

My fifth client arrives for her Fully Tailored Facial. Her skin was deeply congested with blackheads. I was determined. So, 85 extractions later, there was no time for the massage. To calm her red and bumpy skin, I performed a lavender calming massage and then applied a healing masque. Time ran out and I’d prefer her masque to stay on longer so I sent her to relax in a different room,, whilst my next client came.

My sixth client has Full Definition Eyebrows. She’s off to Ibiza soon for a drive around the Island to discover the island’s nature and beauty, and of course with some partying.

My seventh client arrives, and at this point, I have three clients simultaneously being treated, but it’s cool I can manage this, I got this, ha!

Finally, my last lovely client of the day arrives for Full Beautiful Eyelash extensions. Our conversations mainly consist of how we’re going to meet a man.  Her parents had met each other in Puru nearly three decades ago, her mother didn’t finish university because she toddled off to go and get married to her father. They began a business together where now they contently live their retirement and walk the dog. Our conclusion on how we’re going to find “the one” commences…

…well, dating apps don’t solely seem to be doing it for everyone. As some people don’t go out much and those that are lonely seem to thwart the opportunity to get out and meet a potential partner. Although, I put it down to finding our compatible-significant-other to fate.

Helping you feel lovely!
